Herbaceous
A plant whose above-ground parts die back at the end of the growing season. Perennial or biennial herbaceous plants continue to live at or below soil level and regrow their stems and leaves the following season, while annual herbaceous plants set seed and die. This term also represents an ecosystem niche of plants.
