Notes

Young leaves and young shoots - raw or cooked[1][2]. They are best used in the spring[3]. A hot cress-like flavour, they can be finely-chopped and added in small amounts as a flavouring in salads[4].

Immature seedpods[3] - a pungent flavour, they can be used as a flavouring in hot soups and stews[4].

The seed can be used as a pepper substitute[1].
