Propagation
Practical Plants is currently lacking information on propagation instructions of Allium galanthum. Help us fill in the blanks! Edit this page to add your knowledge.
Cultivation
The plant is related to the cultivated onion, A. cepa, and could be of value in breeding programmes[2]. The bulbs should be planted fairly deeply[4]. Grows well with most plants, especially roses, carrots, beet and chamomile, but it inhibits the growth of legumes[5][3][6]. This plant is a bad companion for alfalfa, each species negatively affecting the other[7].
Members of this genus are rarely if ever troubled by browsing deer[8].Crops
